2022 Recap
2022 been a big year for Spire. Looking back is always helpful to see where we started and how far we’ve come in, what seems like, 12 short months. Oftentimes, placing everything that has happened throughout the course of a calendar year into a single blog post is difficult — mainly because so much has happened in the Travel Nursing industry, within our own company, and more!
Here’s a look back and some of the things we covered this year, the recognition we’ve received, the places we’ve been, and more. Plus, some thoughts on what we’re excited about in 2023.

Podcasts, Stories, and Featured Travelers
There is never a shortage of stories when it comes to working with travelers from all over the country. Nurses and healthcare professionals who have stepped into the world of traveling after years on staff, others who have been traveling for 10+ years, and more. Here are some of the stories we shared and people we caught up with this year:
Jade, a Travel Nurse of 12+ Years
Amber’s Story - Working with Spire
2 Lessons from a Nurse turned Nurse-Recruiter
Meet Natalie, from Staff Nurse to Full Time Traveler
So, for 2023, we’re excited about new challenges ahead.
We expect to see the healthcare field evolve further. Burnout is a very real issue and the continuation of supporting hospital and healthcare facility staff to reduce patient ratios closer to 1:1 will be a major focus.
Staffing up new nurses and healthcare workers to combat the existing generations from the field will be evermore top-of-mind for hospitals and nurses alike.
Travel Nursing and Travel Healthcare will continue to see a pattern of growth throughout the calendar year
Pay for Travel Nurses will further equalize, out of the COVID-19 era, and see more regularity in compensation and pay packages for true travelers.
Just a few thoughts as we end this busy, busy year. We’re grateful for another year full of new experiences and great memories. Wishing you all a very fond holiday season and time with loved ones.
